Thermography

KRANTH SARL can carry out aerial thermographic inspections of buildings and other assets including ground-mounted and roof-mounted solar (PV) modules and arrays. Aerial thermographic inspection of buildings and plant can help to identify areas of poor or failing insulation, cold bridges in construction as well as air leakage.

Use of aerial infrared imaging can also identify routes of sub-surface infrastructure and identify leaks in underground pipework including District Heating Network (DHN) schemes and mains water supplies.

Our Sensors

Our ‘workhorse’ for general aerial thermography is DJI’s ‘Zenmuse XT2’ which combines a high resolution (640 x 512 pixels) fully radiometric thermal sensor with a 12 MegaPixel visual camera which, together, are highly suited to live review of images and data being captured. The thermal sensor produces fully geolocated radiometric jpeg stills which can be fully analysed and fine tuned using FLIR’s suite of thermal reporting software and which can be used to identify thermal anomalies and to produce large thermal orthomaps.

We also use a high precision Optris PI450 thermal sensor which, as well as producing fully radiometric stills, can deliver radiometric video (.RAVI) files allowing full analysis, optimisation and adjustment of recorded data after capture.

We are regularly asked to carry other specialized sensors and are experts at integrating this reliability into our airframes and workflows to produce high quality data.
